GranBio’s History

It operates 3 integrated plants in the United States and Brazil;

It has one of the largest 2G ethanol plants in the world, in Alagoas, Brazil, with 100% proprietary technology in use – the only dedicated 2G plant in operation;

GranBio also developed a proprietary process for harvesting and preparing residual biomass (cane straw) on large scale (200Kt/year) and registered 11 varieties of Cana-Vertix® energy cane, the most competitive biomass in photosynthetic efficiency known to the world.

GranBio has restructured its business model to license its expertise and provide technological assistance to customers and potential partners in joint ventures in the production and processing of biomass in cellulose sugar, 2GE, 2G biochemicals and nanocellulose.
