GranBio becomes licensor of proprietary technologies

02/18/2020

In 2019, after a cycle of seven years transforming biomass into a safe carbon source alternative to oil, GranBio has consolidated a substantial portfolio of global patents and engineering processes protected by FTO (Freedom to Operate) and FTL (Freedom to License) and is now capable to offer its proprietary technologies to customers worldwide.

Created in 2013 to manufacture ethanol from sugarcane residues (bagasse and straw), GranBio ended up developing and patenting technologies to overcome obstacles that arose in the process, which made it the holder of unique knowledge for breaking down and transforming biomass. It is this "capital" that is considered by shareholders as a good lure for investors.

Global partnership with engineering firms, equipment manufacturers and enzyme companies allow the company to provide a fully integrated value chain approach to customers and off-takers of 2nd generation ethanol.
